Philosophy

Dedicated to a Successful Safety Culture

Safety Philosophy

It is our belief that every employee is key to the success of a work environment that promotes and prioritizes safety. To achieve this goal, CCS has a full time Safety Officer dedicated to the continued training and education of each of our employees to contribute to a successful safety culture. With the direct support of management, CCS establishes and maintains a safety-first environment with deliberate action.

All field management is a Certified Competent Person in compliance with OSHA standard 1926.

This training provides specific knowledge about soil classifications, protective systems, and recognition of excavation hazards to enable workers to take prompt corrective measures to eliminate possible hazards.

The designated Competent Person is responsible for continual observational safety checks of the work operations, and to enforce the safety policies and procedures. OSHA’s excavation standards require CCS to have a Competent Person on site during any active excavation , and all employees trained in the hazards of trenching & excavation work.

By being in compliance with this standard, we not only protect our employees but also avoid costly OSHA citations & penalties.

Our customers appreciate the work you SAFELY completed and I do also.

I just wanted to take a minute and thank CCS, for your help in correcting the duct bank issue at Greek Village this past week. I especially want to thank Mike and his foreman Johnny for their hard work, professionalism, attention to detail and their safety culture. A group having all four of these characteristics represents a company that re-enforces these traits and a company that I am proud to have as part of our Team on future projects.
